Fauna & Flora

Dullstroom, with its diverse climate conditions offers year-round
attractions - comfort, convenience and elegance.
The winter season is a cold and enjoyable time with easy game-viewing and
bird-watching opportunities, and ideal weather for fire lit cherry nights,
while summer features thick mist in the mornings and evenings.
Scenic mountain trails with spectacular views can be enjoyed on foot on
horseback and a family picnic in the veld is ideal for becoming a part of
the wildlife scenery.

Conservation Status
Recorded from numerous and fairly widespread localities, but nowhere common.
Individuals are sporadic and widely scattered and it, therefore, requires
large tracts of undisturbed grassland for sustainability. A charming species
worthy of all conservation efforts (Grobler, burns and McMurtry).
